Sac City Unified Hygiene Drive for Unhoused Students and Families

  Hygiene Drive Sacramento City UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NOW THROUGH DECEMBER 22, WE ARE COLLECTING DONATIONS OF HYGIENE ITEMS TO PROVIDE TO UNHOUSED STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IN NEED. Please bring donations of full-size items like shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers, wipes, deodorant, socks, hairbrushes, pads and tampons to Serna Center (5735 47th Ave.) and leave them in the blue bin by the front desk in the lobby. Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento City Unified School District is hosting a Hygiene Drive. Now through December 22, we are collecting donations of hygiene items to provide to unhoused students and families in need. Donations will be distributed to our unhoused community in the weeks following Winter Break.

As educators and leaders in our community, we are obligated to change outcomes for African American students on a variety of key district student outcome indicators, including grade level readiness, graduation, A-G completion, and college and career readiness measurements.

Joint Statement from Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ and SEIU Regarding Compensation

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento City Unified School District (Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½) and Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1021 have reached an agreement to close out contract reopener negotiations for the previous 2022-2023 school year. 

This historic agreement demonstrates the significant value that Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ places on retaining and recruiting the finest classified staff to support our students, teachers and facilities. It also ensures that SEIU unit members will be elevated to a salary that is more reflective of their immense value to the District.
