COVID-19 Operations Written Report
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-56-20, modifying timelines for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and establishing a new requirement, the COVID-19 Operations Written Report. This report is a communication tool for districts and charter schools to explain to their communities the impacts of school closures on students and families and the program changes they have made in response to school closures.

Education Code section 221.8 provides as follows:
The following list of rights, which are based on the relevant provisions of the federal regulations implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. Sec. 1681 et seq.), may be used by the department for purposes of Section 221.6:
(a) You have the right to fair and equitable treatment and you shall not be discriminated against based on your sex.

Sac City Unified Releases Details about its Distance Learning Plan
SACRAMENTO 鈥 Sacramento City Unified School District released at its Board Meeting details on its full distance learning plan, after the announcement by the district - and others throughout the region 鈥 that its students would begin the year remotely. Sac City Unified begins its academic year on September 3 and is currently developing a six part 鈥淩eturn Together鈥 plan. The Board presentation can be viewed here.
Sacramento City Unified School District Announces Next School Year to Begin with Full Distance Learning
SACRAMENTO 鈥 Sacramento City Unified School District announced today that students will begin the school year on September 3 with a full distance learning program. This decision was made in close consultation with public health officials and the Sacramento County Office of Education, to protect the health and safety of students and staff as new COVID-19 cases have drastically surged and testing results are delayed.
