SACRAMENTO, CA 鈥 The Sacramento City Unified School District鈥檚 (麻豆果冻传媒) Board of Education has completed its schedule of town hall meetings and finalized results of its online survey that sought community input on the desired qualities in a new superintendent. Eight meetings were held at schools and locations throughout the district with participation from over 372 attendees that represented a broad and diverse group of parents, students, staff and community members. Comments from each town hall are posted on the district website.

His books and influence on young readers far and wide is recognized each year by The National Education Association (NEA). To celebrate reading and honor Dr. Seuss, the NEA established Read Across America Day on Dr. Seuss鈥 birthday as an annual nationwide celebration of reading.

Jan. 25, 2017 (Sacramento): Decades-old Kit Carson Middle School is looking for a name to match its students as the campus evolves into a high school.
Kit Carson Vice Principal Rich Haley who serves on the committee charged with bringing recommendations to the Sacramento City Unified School District said the group has begun gathering input from the community. 鈥淲e want to know what the community wants 鈥 whether we should adopt a totally new name or only tweak the name by dropping the middle school designation,鈥 Haley said.
