SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento City Unified School District’s (Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½) Board of Education has completed its schedule of town hall meetings and finalized results of its online survey that sought community input on the desired qualities in a new superintendent. Eight meetings were held at schools and locations throughout the district with participation from over 372 attendees that represented a broad and diverse group of parents, students, staff and community members. Comments from each town hall are posted on the district website.

Sacramento City Unified School District leaders will stand in solidarity with other safe haven districts and sanctuary city officials at ICE Director town hall to show its support for policies that protect the rights of undocumented immigrants.
The Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ will join other region leaders to send a strong message to federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials that it will continue to stand up for the rights of immigrant students and parents.

Students to observe sobering costs of DUI arrests when real court trial held at school gym
SACRAMENTO—West Campus High School students will see firsthand on March 24 the legal consequences that come after an arrest for driving under the influence when the campus plays host to the DUI Court in Schools Program.
Students will witness a real DUI court proceeding at the campus with an actual judge and defendant as well as actual attorneys. The students will also observe whatever punishment the judge issues.
Students share traits they want for new Sacramento schools chief
SACRAMENTO, CA –Sacramento City Unified School District (Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½) middle and high school students will share what they want in a new superintendent today from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the district headquarters, 5735 47th Ave.
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ also held an ambitious round of seven town halls around the city to gather input from city residents about the district’s strengths. The district has also posted a survey open to all that takes less than five minutes to complete.
