LGBTQ Task Force
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ convenes a monthly LGBTQ Task Force to address district-wide policy, program and training issues related to supporting LGBTQ students. It’s goal is to help foster school environments that are welcoming and safe for all.
The LGBTQ Task Force has been meeting for 10 years and includes students, parents, school staff, administrators and community members. The Task Force meets once a month during the school year at different Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ campuses. Everyone is welcome to join. Please click below for a schedule of meetings this year.

Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling Services

The Sacramento City Unified School District is requesting proposals from providers of solid waste disposal and recycling services.
Request for Proposals (RFP) must be received prior to 2:00 P.M.,
on June 19, 2013. RFP’s must be submitted in a sealed envelope,
marked with the RFP number and title, and returned to the
Sacramento City Unified School District, Purchasing Services,
3051 Redding Ave., Sacramento, CA 95820.
Proposals received later than the designated time and specified
date will be returned to the bidder unopened. Facsimile (FAX)
copies of the proposal will not be accepted.
The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
proposals or any combination thereof and to waive any informality
in the bidding process.

What is a Charter School?
A charter school is a public school with no tuition, or stipulation for entrance. They are allowed the freedom to be more innovative while being held accountable for improved student achievement. Any student that is of the right age and grade level can apply. Independent of the school district, charter schools are exempted from many of the statutes and regulations that apply to school districts. Charter Schools specific goals and operating procedures for charter school are detailed in their charter petitions. Typically chartered every five years.
