Sacramento City Unified Joins Six Districts in Letter to Governor Newsom on Safe Schools for All Plan
SACRAMENTO – Today, Sacramento City Unified School District joined six other large urban school districts in sending a letter to Governor Gavin Newsom to provide feedback on the Safe Schools for All Plan. Sacramento City Unified Superintendent Jorge Aguilar joined the superintendents of Fresno Unified, Long Beach Unified, Los Angeles Unified, Oakland Unified, San Diego Unified, and San Francisco Unified School Districts in sending the letter, which urges the state to provide:

Sacramento City Unified Chief Academic Officer Awarded as Everyday Champion by the National Center for Learning Disabilities
Christine Baeta Receives National Award for Lifetime Commitment of Advocacy for Students with Disabilities
SACRAMENTO - Sacramento City Unified School District Chief Academic Officer Christine Baeta this week was awarded by the National Center for Learning Disabilities as an Everyday Champion for students with disabilities. This award, which is given to three individuals each year, is given to one administrator, one teacher, and one parent who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to advocacy and work on behalf of students with disabilities. Ms. Baeta received the Administrator Award.
