EpiPen: For adults and children weighing over 66 lbs. 3rd grade or above
EpiPen Jr.: For children weighing 33-66 lbs. 2nd grade or younger
(use only EpiPen and EpiPen Jr. in cases 鈥� the other one is for training)
When in doubt, use the more potent EpiPen.

- There鈥檚 a frog in my throat or something is stuck in it.

- School Nurses
- Trained volunteer employees who have been designated by the school
Remember, this is totally voluntary. There will be an annual call for volunteers to learn EpiPen administration and identify serious allergic reactions.
Purpose of SB 1266 (Emergency Epinephrine Auto-injectors Law)

Schools shall be provided epinephrine auto-injectors (EpiPens) in order to provide emergency medical aid to persons suffering, or reasonably believed to be suffering, from an anaphylactic reaction.

- YES. The school district shall ensure that each volunteer employee will be provided defense and indemnification by the school district for any and all civil liability.
