Requirements for Proper Medication Administration

  • Completed Medication Authorization Form

    • Make sure all 5 Rights are listed
    • Make sure both physician and parent consent is clear
  • Each medicine must be delivered to school in a separate container labeled by a pharmacist licensed in the United States.
  • Count and label medication.  Log each dose given.
  • Return all discontinued, outdated, and/or unused medicine before the end of the school year.

California Alternate Assessment (CAA)
For students with severe cognitive disabilities

Alternate assessments are based on alternate achievement standards (AA-AAS) aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for students with significant cognitive disabilities. The goal of the alternate assessment is to ensure that students with significant cognitive disabilities achieve increasingly higher academic outcomes and leave high school ready for post-secondary options. The alternate assessments are part of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) System.
