Expertise and leadership set to elevate Stanford鈥檚 fertility treatments and patient care
PALO ALTO, Calif.鈥麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health is delighted to announce that Ruth Lathi, MD, has been appointed as the new Division Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at , effective Jan 1, 2025.
A renowned reproductive endocrinologist and the director of the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Program at Stanford Children鈥檚, Dr. Lathi brings extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and patient care to this prestigious role. Her clinical focus includes fertility (reproductive medicine), recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and miscarriage, , preimplantation genetic diagnosis, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
During her tenure in the division, Dr. Lathi has undertaken substantial clinical and administrative responsibilities while continuing vital National Institutes of Health鈥揻unded research on genetic and environmental factors affecting reproductive health. Her research particularly focuses on RPL, in vitro fertilization, and preimplantation genetic screening. Additionally, she has held numerous leadership positions, including Director of Clinical Operations at Stanford Fertility, Director of the Multispecialty Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Program, and Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Fellowship Program. Beyond her contributions to 麻豆果冻传媒, Dr. Lathi serves as the Vice President鈥揺lect for the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialists and is a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Lathi earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. She further specialized by completing a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Stanford University. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Lathi enjoys mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and spending quality time outdoors golfing, swimming, and hiking with her family.
