麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health Names Paul King President and CEO

King has served as Executive Director at C.S. Mott Children鈥檚 Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women鈥檚 Hospital for five years, he will begin at Stanford in early 2019.

Paul King, new President and CEO of 麻豆果冻传媒 Children's Health, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. 鈥 麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health announced Friday that its board of directors has appointed Paul King as president and CEO of Lucile Packard Children鈥檚 Hospital Stanford and 麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health, effective in early 2019. Currently Executive Director at University of Michigan Health System鈥檚 C.S. Mott Children鈥檚 Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women鈥檚 Hospital, King will succeed Dennis Lund, MD, interim chief executive officer for Packard Children鈥檚 and 麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health following its long time CEO, Chris Dawes鈥 medical leave and retirement announced in March 2018.

鈥淲ith more than 35 years in health care, including 22 years in executive roles leading pediatric health care enterprises, Paul brings a wealth of experiences and leadership expertise to 麻豆果冻传媒 Children鈥檚 Health,鈥 said Jeff Chambers, Lucile Packard Children鈥檚 Hospital Stanford Board Chair.

King has led C.S. Mott Children鈥檚 Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women鈥檚 Hospital since 2013 where his management efforts helped his organization achieve the highest patient satisfaction and employee engagement levels across the entire University of Michigan Health System and consistently rank among U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 Best Children鈥檚 Hospitals.

Prior to joining C.S. Mott Children鈥檚 Hospital, King served as president and CEO for the Pediatric Management Group, a 550-physician academic pediatric subspecialty group practice affiliated with Children鈥檚 Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Previously he was vice president of clinical programs and professional services in which he helped oversee both the CHLA鈥檚 pediatric medical center and a pediatric multi-specialty medical group.

King earned a master鈥檚 in health administration from University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and economics from the University of Nebraska. He actively serves on several boards including the Children鈥檚 Hospital Association and the American Hospital Association Maternal & Child Health Council.
