In the 2014-15 Best Children鈥檚 Hospitals survey from U.S. News & World Report released today, Lucile Packard Children鈥檚 Hospital Stanford once again received the highest specialty rankings among Bay Area children鈥檚 hospitals, with three specialties ranked in the U.S. News Top 10 and five in the Top 15. Additionally, two of these programs were ranked best in California and one was ranked best on the West Coast.

STANFORD, Calif. 鈥 Receiving top honors by the just-released U.S. News & World Report survey of is a wonderful accolade. But, there鈥檚 even more to celebrate. For a decade, since the beginning of the formalized U.S. News rankings for children鈥檚 hospitals in 2005, Lucile Packard Children鈥檚 Hospital Stanford has received the highest specialty rankings of any children鈥檚 hospital in Northern California every year.
In the publication鈥檚 new 2014-15 Best Children鈥檚 Hospitals survey , the hospital was the only Northern California children鈥檚 hospital with three specialty programs ranked in the nation鈥檚 top 10. Those specialties included Nephrology (#7), Cardiology (#8), and Pulmonology (#10). The Nephrology team鈥檚 ranking was tops in California, and the Pulmonology group was #1 in California and on the West Coast.
In addition, Lucile Packard Children鈥檚 Hospital Stanford was the only Northern California children鈥檚 hospital placing five programs in the top 15, with Neonatology coming in #12 and Gastroenterology at #13. In all, Lucile Packard Children鈥檚 Hospital Stanford placed nine specialty programs in the U.S. News top 40. Full results and methodology are available .
