Updated COVID Health & Safety Plan 鈥 effective March 13th, 2023
麻豆果冻传媒 has updated the COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan (formerly Return to Health) 鈥 to incorporate newly revised CDPH and SCPH guidance for isolation and stay home sick. Please view the simplified version here - /covid-health-safety-plan
California Department of Public Health (CDPH) along with Sacramento County Public Health (SCPH) has updated their COVID guidance effective March 13, 2023. The new SCPH COVID decision tree can be found here, and the changes have gone into effect for isolation notices and stay home sick. For students/staff with COVID, a negative test is no longer needed to return after day 5 if symptoms are improving and they are fever free for 24 hours. For students/staff with COVID symptoms but who choose not to test, they must isolate for at least 5 days (changed from 10) but can then return if symptoms improved and are fever-free.
March Over-the-Counter (OTC) Test Distribution
OTC tests along with the OTC flyer should be passed out to every student, staff, and contracted staff on March 29th 鈥 31st (translations available on 麻豆果冻传媒 website). Going into Spring Break, these tests should be used if someone becomes symptomatic, has known exposure, or if gathering in large groups.
Care Room Staffing Update
As testing demand has decreased, we are no longer backfilling our
Care Room positions. This means that you may be without a Care
Room health aide in the coming months. This guidance will help
school site staff navigate what to do when there is no Care Room
and a student or staff member presents with COVID symptoms.
鈥淪top the Bleed鈥 Tourniquet Kits
麻豆果冻传媒 received a supply of 鈥淪top the Bleed鈥 tourniquet kits for distribution to district sites and buildings. Stop the Bleed is a program of the U.S. Department of Defense to provide supplies and training to respond to severe bleeding that may occur due to accidents, injuries or trauma. These kits will be delivered and installed next to your site鈥檚 AED in the coming weeks. Much like the AED, these kits are designed for easy use by a lay-person. There will be information about training available for severe bleeding emergencies in the coming weeks as well.
