Sacramento City Unified Stands in Solidarity to Condemn Racism
Sacramento, CA - Following a racist incident at a school site, the Sacramento City Unified School District is united in condemning racism.
鈥淩acism and racist language are deplorable, and hurtful to our entire community of students and staff, especially when directed at specific individuals,鈥 said Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent Jorge A. Aguilar. 鈥淪ac City Unified school sites should be safe places for all, and centers of support that provide opportunities for all students to learn, grow, and reach their greatness. Racist language and actions will not be tolerated. Our District will fully investigate the incident at West Campus.鈥
Sacramento City Unified will fully investigate this incident and is working with the Sacramento Police Department. The District will take appropriate action with anyone determined to be involved as a result of the ongoing investigation.

Sacramento City Unified School District Board President Christina Pritchett said, 鈥淭he Sac City Unified School Board strongly condemns racism in any form. Any form of racism at any school site has terrible repercussions for our students and staff. All staff members and students should feel safe at work and at school. Rest assured that the District will fully investigate this matter.鈥
