Matsui, McCarty to celebrate opening of new school-based clinic
WellSpace Health facility at Hiram Johnson is first of its kind in Sacramento City Unified

March 10, 2015 (Sacramento):  Congresswoman Doris Matsui will join state Assemblyman Kevin McCarty and other elected officials on Thursday (March 12) at an official ribbon-cutting for the new WellSpace Community Health Center at Hiram Johnson High School.

The Community Health Center – the first of its kind in the Sacramento City Unified School District – will serve students and the neighborhood. The space includes examinations room for wellness checkups and dental exams to be provided by WellSpace Health staff. The Health Center is funded through a federal grant secured with the help of Congresswoman Matsui, who will open the center with the help of Assemblyman McCarty, Sacramento City Councilman Jay Schenirer and Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Board of Education Member Ellen Cochrane.
