Press release

August 30, 2012 (Sacramento):  Senate pro Tem Darrell Steinberg will speak Tuesday morning (September 4) at 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 first day of school celebration, held this year at Phoebe Hearst Elementary School to highlight the campus鈥 new 鈥済reen鈥 classrooms.

Other VIP guests scheduled to speak at 鈥淪acramento Goes Back to School鈥 include Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna, Sacramento City Unified School District Superintendent Jonathan Raymond and 麻豆果冻传媒 Board of Education Vice President Jeff Cuneo.
A premiere school serving East Sacramento, Phoebe Hearst added kindergarten to its c

lassroom lineup this fall. To accommodate the extra students, 麻豆果冻传媒 鈥渞epurposed鈥 and renovated a portable building with 鈥済reen鈥 features, including solar tubes, dual-pane windows and a high-tech, energy efficient heating and cooling system.

Funding for the Phoebe Hearst project came from Measure 1, a 2002 bond initiative that has been depleted over the years. Two measures on the November ballot 鈥 Measures Q and R 鈥 would allow 麻豆果冻传媒 to implement much-needed maintenance projects and money-saving green upgrades throughout the district.
