AB 1565

California Assembly Bill (AB) 1565 is a new law that went into effect on January 1, 2014. This law requires a school district with over 2,500 students to pre-qualify bidders (General and M/E/P subcontractors) for construction contracts awarded on or after January 1, 2014 if the total project value is $1,000,000 or more,and if the project is funded, in whole or in part, with State bond funds. In accordance with AB 1565, Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ will utilize a pre-qualification process. Bidders may pre-qualify with Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ by applying online.

SB 854

California Senate Bill (SB) 854 established a new public works contractor registration program, covering all public works projects, to replace prior Compliance Monitoring Unit (CMU) and Labor Compliance Program (LCP) requirements for bond-funded and other specified projects.Bidders on all public works contracts must also be registered with DIR per SB 854.
