Christine Baeta Receives National Award for Lifetime Commitment of Advocacy for Students with Disabilities

SACRAMENTO - Sacramento City Unified School District Chief Academic Officer Christine Baeta this week was awarded by the National Center for Learning Disabilities as an Everyday Champion for students with disabilities. This award, which is given to three individuals each year, is given to one administrator, one teacher, and one parent who have demonstrated a lifelong commitment to advocacy and work on behalf of students with disabilities. Ms. Baeta received the Administrator Award.

What is the Fiscal Recovery Plan?

, on November 19, 2020 the district will present a draft Fiscal Recovery Plan which will include scenarios of potential reductions and changes to the district budget. The Fiscal Recovery Plan will come back to the Board for adoption on December 10.

Sac City Unified School District Opens Learning Hubs at Six School Sites
City of Sacramento and community based organizations support small student learning groups

SACRAMENTO 鈥 The Sacramento City Unified School District announced that six learning hubs have opened at school sites throughout the district. These hubs, organized in partnership with community-based organizations and the City of Sacramento, provide small groups of students with distance learning assistance and other activities. Each learning hub is open to 40 students. Students given priority to participate in the learning hubs are children of essential workers, students with special needs, foster youth, and students experiencing homelessness.
