At the April 18 meeting of the Sacramento City Unified School District Board, the Board recognized Vivian Toddy as a Stellar Student. Vivian attends Albert Einstein Middle School where she participates in the GATE program and advanced band. She is very involved in the American Indian community, 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 American Indian Education Program, and is a member of the Native Youth of Sacramento youth group. Vivian is a talented musician and artist and is an accomplished student. Her teachers describe her as an excellent role model for her classmates.

The following statement is attributed to 麻豆果冻传媒 Board President Lavinia Phillips regarding the appointment of Lisa Allen as Superintendent:
鈥淚鈥檓 so proud that Lisa Allen has been appointed as 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Superintendent! Our governing board made the decision to appoint her to serve in this role, but in doing so, we were responding to feedback and requests that came from our community.

The Sacramento City Unified School District鈥檚 American Indian Education Program will hold its annual public hearing on Monday May 6, 2024 6:30 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the Serna Center.
The purpose of this meeting is to gather recommendations for the 2024-2025 Title VI Indian Education Formula grant application.
Meeting Date: Monday, May 6th
Meeting Time: 6:30 P.M.- 7:30 P.M.

This afternoon, the State Board of Education (SBE) approved our request for a waiver of the penalty for not providing the minimum number of instructional days and minutes during the 2021-2022 school year.

Looking for Community Feedback on District and School Websites
Sacramento City Unified is in the process of redesigning our district and school websites to improve user experience for our families, staff and community.
As a part of this process, we are asking for community feedback on our current websites and what changes you鈥檇 like to see in a redesign.
The deadline to submit feedback is Friday, June 14, 2024. The district鈥檚 goal is to launch newly redesigned websites in early 2025.

Please visit this link to find our 2024-25 Academic Calendars. As a reminder, we will be adding eight (8) instructional days to the 2024-2025 school year and moving the first day of school for our traditional calendar to Monday, August 19, 2024.
SBAC/CAASPP Scores in Infinite Campus
We are pleased to announce that the 2023-24 CAASPP student results are now available in the Parent Portal. You can access these scores by following the path: More > Assessments > California Paperless Reporting.
For the 2023-24 assessment year, you will see scores for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. If your child was in grades five or eight, you will also see their CAST (California Science Test) scores, and for grade twelve, you will only see their CAST scores.
