Sac City Schools Are Keeping Students Indoors Due To Poor Air Quality
UPDATED 11/14/18 @ 8:05 P.M. - Our schools will remain open Thursday, November 15th. We understand that many of our families count on us to provide students with a safe and supervised environment to go to during the day. We take this responsibility very seriously and before making the decision to keep our schools open, we did check on the air quality conditions at our schools and consulted with leadership at the Sacramento Air Quality Management District.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Athletic Field at Hiram Johnson High School

What: After decades of playing on an old and outdated field, student athletes at Hiram Johnson High School can finally celebrate the grand opening of a new athletic field and facility paid for with voter approved bond money. To celebrate the grand opening of the new field, members of the Sacramento City Unified Board of Education, Superintendent, student athletes, coaches, teachers and school staff will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Phoebe Hearst Elementary School’s Restroom Remodel
Project Info:
Phoebe Hearst Elementary got two staff restroom remodeled. They have new plumbing piping, toilets, sinks, mirrors, hand dryers, lights, epoxy flooring, paint, doors and signage. (Funded By Bond Measure Q-Completed Summer of 2018.)
