October 11, 2012 (Sacramento): State test data released today validates Sacramento City Unified School District鈥檚 aggressive efforts to transform low-performing schools and implement rigorous student achievement standards in every classroom.
For the second year, students in 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 Superintendent鈥檚 Priority Schools made almost across-the-board gains on state tests. In addition, 麻豆果冻传媒鈥檚 middle school students 鈥 adolescents often regarded as the hardest to teach 鈥 also made impressive strides, outpacing their elementary and high school peers in gains.

April 17, 2013 (Sacramento) 鈥 The Sacramento City Unified School District is forming a 鈥7-11 Committee鈥 (a committee with seven or 11 members) to advise the Board of Education on the reuse, repurposing and disposition of school buildings and vacant sites not needed for school purposes. The formation of the committee follows the Board鈥檚 decision last month to close seven chronically under-enrolled elementary schools next fall.
