The Sacramento City Unified School District is requesting proposals from providers of Cafeteria Food Distribution (Grocery) for the District鈥檚 Nutrition program. 

RFP鈥檚 must be received prior to 10:00 a.m., on May 16, 2016.  RFP鈥檚 must be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked with the RFP number and title, and returned to the Sacramento City Unified School District, Purchasing Services, 3051 Redding Ave., Sacramento, CA 95820.

Land Park elementary school will wage healthy competition on International Walk to School Day

October 3, 2016 (Sacramento):  At Crocker-Riverside Elementary School in Land Park, International Walk to School Day is more than just a chance to enjoy morning air and exercise: It鈥檚 a chance to win a 鈥淕olden Sneaker.鈥�

Years ago, the school began using a spray-painted sneaker as incentive for participation in Walk to School Day. The class with the highest percentage of participants gets to house the sneaker for a year.
