Concussion Head Injury Information Sheet

Effective January 1, 2012, a new law ( Education Code Section 49475), requires the student and parent/legal guardian must sign this Concussion Head Injury Information Sheet before a Student may try-out, practice, or compete in any District-sponsored extracurricular athletic program, including interscholastic, intramural, or other sport or recreation programs (including cheer/dance teams and band), but excluding physical education courses for credit.

Overview

The heartbeat of this office is high quality learning and teaching that will prepare our students for college and/or career plus are aligned to the educational and organizational goals outlined in District’s Strategic Plan: Putting Children First. We are committed to promoting research-based curriculum, continuous improvement in the design and delivery of intentional instruction, integration of multidimensional formative assessments as well as supporting services that remove the obstacles to learning from pre-school to post-secondary.

Contact Accounts Payable

Overview

Accounts Payable is responsible for payment of all District invoices, except student activity payments.  We also process employee and petty cash reimbursements.

Retirement

Overview

Retirements and resignations should be given with sufficient notice to the school site or department to allow for an effective transition. If you plan on retiring, be sure to contact either CalSTRS or CalPERS a few months ahead of your planned retirement date.  Retiree health benefits vary by bargaining unit and you must retire with PERS or STRS within 120 days of separation to be eligible — refer to your contract or benefit office for more information.

Teacher Credentialing

Overview

Issues concerning credentials (credential requirements, application processes, renewal processes, etc.) can be discussed and resolved with either the district Human Resource Services Analyst, or the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing at:

Facilities Services

Overview

Our responsibilities include:

  • Master Planning and forecasting district facilities needs
  • Modernizing schools and building new schools
  • General maintenance, major repairs and land/system improvements
  • Special Project Requests for minor site improvements by students, families and volunteers
  • Community Facilities Use coordination and approval
  • Collection of Developer Fees or School Impact Fees
