District Enrollment Projections
The Sacramento City Unified School District just added its projections of anticipated student enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year as of February 2020. Enrollment projections are regularly monitored and adjusted as more information becomes available. Staffing projections can also change as new information becomes available between now and leading up to the beginning of the school year.
Sacramento City Unified School District and Advocacy Groups Pursue Settlement of Lawsuit Alleging Disability and Race Discrimination
SACRAMENTO, CA - The Sacramento City Unified School District
(District) and plaintiffs suing the District for alleged
discrimination against students based on race and disability
asked the federal court to pause litigation so the parties may
seek potential resolution through settlement.
Board Update: LCAP Parent Advisory Committee Appointments Announced
First Meeting September 24 at 5:30 p.m.
Board members and Superintendent Aguilar appointed 16 members to the LCAP Parent Advisory Committee on September 20, 2018. The initial meeting is Monday, September 24, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at the Serna Center Washington Room. Meetings are open to the public. Below are the names of the newly appointed members of the LCAP PAC:

Sac City Unified Proposes New Teacher Contract and Round the Clock Negotiations to Resolve Labor Dispute and Reduce Budget Deficit
District seeks to resolve matters before school year starts so that students and families will not be impacted and distracted by negotiations
SACRAMENTO, CA 鈥 Seeking to reach an agreement with the Sacramento City Teachers Association (SCTA) before the start of the school year, the Sacramento City Unified School District has submitted a proposal to SCTA leaders and requested round the clock negotiations. The proposal would set ground rules for engaging in good faith negotiations, limit the District鈥檚 contribution to health insurance premiums, and establish an earlier school year start date.
