Supports We Provide
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s SSC’s provide a spectrum of integrated support that spans the areas of youth development, family services, academic enrichment, health and mental health. Targeted primarily to low-achieving students, SSC services address critical student needs that pose barriers to learning. Services include:
Student Support Centers
SSHS operates Student Support Centers at schools throughout the district to provide support to students who are struggling socially, emotionally, behaviorally and/or academically. At each center, a coordinator works closely with school staff to identify students in need of assistance. Once identified, social workers, family advocates, interns, and community partners work directly with students and parents to address issues that are of concern to them, drawing on other resources for additional support.
All Student Support Centers are Open to Serve Families During Distance Learning

Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ Student Support Center History
Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s Student Support Centers (SSC) began in 1992 with support from the California Healthy Start program. Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½ was particularly successful in obtaining these grants and established SSC’s at many of the district’s neediest schools.
