SACRAMENTO, CA – On Wednesday night, the Sacramento City Unified Board of Education unanimously approved a $566.99 million budget at a special meeting of the board. While current revenues are sufficient to cover spending for the 2017-18 fiscal year, budget staff warned that spending in future years will need to be reduced in order to avoid fiscal trouble.

WHAT: The Sacramento City Unified School District invites the public to learn more about the launch of its Central Kitchen project at a public meeting today. Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s Central Kitchen project was approved by voters in 2012 as part of Measure R. District officials expect the Central Kitchen to help offer students healthier food options that will include more local fruits and vegetables and menu items created ‘from scratch’.
