English Language Proficiency assessment for California (ELPAC)
formerly California English Language Development Test
The English Language Proficiency assessment for California (ELPAC) replaces the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). The ELPAC is aligned with the 2012 California English Language Development Standards and is comprised of two assessments: 1) An initial assessment used to identify students as English learners and 2) An annual summative assessment to measure a student’s progress in learning English their English language proficiency level.
The ELPAC will go operational in 2018.
