I鈥檝e always been intrigued by people鈥檚 stories and community health in addition to my love of medicine. I鈥檓 so lucky that in pediatrics, I get to combine my passion for working with families and really getting to understand someone鈥檚 journey with my training in evidence-based medicine and science.

Plus, kids are so fun! I love their energy and their humor. Wherever they go, you鈥檒l always find hope and joy. Their resilience even through dark or difficult times inspires me. Pediatrics offers an opportunity for advocacy every day. Part of my job is to empower and support families to access the knowledge and resources to achieve their goals.

One of the things I love most about pediatrics is the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and their families. For me, pediatrics is all about listening and partnering with parents. We鈥檙e guides or partners in the process of caring for children. Understanding a family鈥檚 story over time and getting to know them as people allows me to tailor my approach to their unique needs.
