In pediatrics, you get to follow children from birth to young adulthood and experience the changes and progression of their development. It鈥檚 an important relationship where interventions at an early stage can help set them on the path for the best health possible. It鈥檚 especially true for adolescents on the cusp of adulthood.

Communication, empathy, and shared decision-making, combined with evidence-based medical research and medical informatics, are some of the tools I employ to best treat patients. I listen carefully and intently to parents鈥� concerns because I believe that everybody鈥檚 input is important. It鈥檚 a privilege to be allowed into my patients鈥� lives to provide care and to help lay a foundation for habits that set them on a path for a healthy, long life.
