I consider myself a member of the family's team, and I listen and incorporate their concerns into my care plan. Parents, teachers, health care providers鈥搘e are all on the same team, and our goal is to help each child have a healthy and active life.

I'm a parent myself, so I'm less likely to recommend something to a busy parent that isn't going to fit with the reality of day-to-day parenting. When parents hear that I have children too, they often give me a look like, "Oh, he gets it." We can bond over challenges that almost all parents face at some point.

In my life and in my office, I try to always treat others the way I would want to be treated. I make sure to always be kind and gentle with my patients, and I strive to be the caring doctor I would want for my own children.
