There鈥檚 the science of medicine and then there鈥檚 the art. The science is very important, and you can鈥檛 practice without it, but the art of medicine is the ability to connect and communicate with families. I feel that my communication skills are one of my greatest strengths. I鈥檓 able to connect with families in a way that shows compassion and empathy while getting them through what can be very difficult situations.

It鈥檚 really important to have patients feel very comfortable. For example, we don鈥檛 wear white coats. We make the environment as relaxing as possible. I want patients to feel good about their experience, and my calm demeanor hopefully helps them feel relaxed and at ease.

If there鈥檚 one thing I want families to know, it鈥檚 that I truly care about their experience. From the very beginning, when they are referred to our office, to their first visit, to phone calls being answered in a timely fashion, all parts of providing excellent health care are important to me. I want families to have the best experience every step of the way.
