I discovered my passion for the art of healing while volunteering at hospitals in my youth. Pediatric medicine was such a natural career choice that I like to say that pediatrics chose me.

It鈥檚 great to heal children when they are sick, but it鈥檚 also extremely rewarding to help them grow and achieve their greatest potential. It鈥檚 a privilege to follow a family for many years and to watch a child grow up right before my eyes. To know I鈥檝e played a part in their successful growth is very fulfilling.

The best part of my job is forming relationships with my patients and their families. Open communication is the most important part of a doctor-patient relationship. With every visit, I encourage parents to voice their questions and concerns so we can work together to create a care plan. I make sure that both the children and their parents feel like they鈥檝e been heard. I treat all my patients as I would treat my own child鈥攚ith care and compassion鈥攂ecause I know just how precious they are.
